Clever Street Photography from Peter Funch
| Peter Funch is a very talented Danish photographer. I am attracted to his Babel Tales series where he is able to capture dozen of pedestrians with the same actions and photoshopped them into one single image. Funch stakes New York City street corners out for two weeks at a time, taking pictures of passersby from the very same spot. His “Memory Lane” is my favorite work. When I first looked at these, my heart pumped because I thought I’d found a genius…..went back to have read and then noticed the Photoshop component….then these images lost all power and I said “so what”…..

Great work but it ain’t street photography, its some sort of photo illustration, nothing to do with the documentary tradition of Street Photography.
