Have You Seen a Human Billboard Before?

Earlier on I made a post about 50 Extraordinary and Attractive Billboards. Just when I thought that list has all the best billboards around, there is one last that I wish to share with you.

Yes, it is a Human Billboard! The creator of this idea is Dan Herbison. He was hanging there for almost five hours, on a fence at the eastern side of Cobham Park, next to one of Wellington’s busiest roundabouts.

The sight was almost too much for some motorists. "There were a couple of close calls with nose-to-tail accidents nearly happening," Mr Herbison said.

But there were also plenty of waves and toots. "There was one family that went around the roundabout five times with the kids waving and laughing out the window."

Mr Herbison, a draughtsman, was promoting perkjobs.co.nz, an online job noticeboard where people can find work or workers to do almost anything. "It is like Student Job Search, but targeting the general population." He has even earned extra cash himself through a couple of weekend jobs found on the site. "I have probably had a couple of hundred different jobs in my time. I’m kind of an odd-job Dan."

10Steps.SG has contacted Mr Herbison to show more photos on the actual scene for you!

When he set up the website in November, he travelled the country doing a free job a day for 30 days. He chased sheep, milked cows, cut hair and featured in a Mercedes advert. To view the videos, click here!
